Gigahertz-Optik GmbH, founded in 1986, is a world class manufacturer of innovative UV-VIS-NIR optical radiation measurement instrumentation for specification critical industrial, medical and research applications. Light gauges for transmission, reflection, haze and fluorescence support material testing in service and production are designed around customer specifications as needed. Our internationally employed calibration standards support customer on-site comparisons of light detection and imaging sensors. Traceable calibration is the basic reference to ensure quality for all light measurement instruments and calibration standards. Our calibration laboratory for optical radiation quantities provides the most extensive range of calibrations available from industrial suppliers. For the measurement of spectral responsivity and spectral irradiance Gigahertz-Optik’s calibration laboratory is accredited by the Deutscher Kalibrierdienst (DKD) to ISO/IEC 17025 since 1993 with registration number DKD-K-10601. Our U.S. subsidiary Gigahertz-Optik, Inc., incorporated in 2001, along with a worldwide network of representatives serve our international customer base.

Measurement of Light Measurement with Light
Light meters & light analyzers for photometric and colorimetric evaluation of all types of light sources including halogen lamps, discharge lamps, fluorescent lamps and solid state lighting such as semiconductor LEDs and organic OLEDs, displays, monitors. Light gauges to measure transmittance and diffuse and regular components. Measurement of spectral transmittance. Traceable measurements of light transmittance of automotive and window glass. Haze measurements.
Light meters & light analyzers for radiometric evaluation of light sources within the ultraviolet, visible and near infrared wavelength range. Power meters for gas and semiconductor LASERs, laser diodes, fiber optic light guides. Test instruments for spatial luminance and luminous color distribution of displays by diffuse hemispherical illumination. Integrating sphere light sources with goniometric sample holder for plastic surface inspection by diffuse hemispherical illumination.
Filter radiometers and light dosimeters for plant physiology, photobiological and phototherapeutic actinic radiation, blue light and UV hazard assessment, photostability, UVC and UVGI Germicidal Irradiance and UV process and control applications. Integrating sphere light sources for pixel uniformity calibration and adjustment of imaging sensors and instruments.
Integrating spheres for flux measurements, integrating sphere systems, goniophotometers, calibration standards, diffuse reflection standards.
