Measurement of Non-Laser Monochromatic Sources

Tunable Monochromatic Light Sources are built with a polychromatic light source and a grating monochromator. Their light output can be measured with photodiode detectors calibrated for spectral sensitivity. Low Pressure Mercury Discharge Lamps emit a significant peak at 253.7 nm, a spectral line of mercury.
