Solar Simulator Measurement  

Photostability of Drugs and Drug Products is evaluated by exposing them to both white light and ultraviolet. The light dose (lxs) and UV-A dose (J/m²) is measured with a lightmeter. Degradation and phototoxicity after irradiation are analyzed.

The long term stability of untreated or coated surfaces and objects is examined by light irradiation. Solar simulator’s used in photodegradation studies monitor UVA, UVB, UV-C, VIS and IRA irradiance output to ensure stable and even exposure.

Continuously operated solar simulators are used for evaluation of the degradation of amorphous solar cells. Multi-detector irradiance lightmeters are used to test the irradiation in different wavelength ranges.

Flash Solar Simulators enable accelerated examination of the efficiency of solar cells via measurement of current to voltage characteristics. Pulse energy and pulse shape measurement lightmeters are used.
