X4 Light Analyzer
X4-BTS Sensor
ISD Series Integrating Spheres

The X4 Light Analyzer is designed for all types of light measurements in absolute radiometric and photometric units. To accomplish this the X4-DE base device featuring a diode array spectrometer can be combined with different detectors and accessories to form the different required measurement geometries. For luminous flux and radiant power measurement the X4-DE with X4-BTS sensor can be combined with integrating spheres with diameters up to 1000mm. The UMBB series allows individual integrating sphere configurations to be designed. The ISD series includes integrating sphere set-ups for common applications. Seven standard set-ups for luminous flux measurements are available:
  • ISD-21-V02 210mm integrating sphere with 50mm measurement port for 2π spot lamps
  • ISD-50-V02 500mm integrating sphere with 100mm measurement port for 2π spot lamps
  • ISD-50HF-V03 500mm integrating sphere that opens/closes for center mount of 4π bulb type lamps
  • ISD-50HF-V04 500mm integrating sphere for 2π spot lamps with 127mm measurement port and center mount of 4π bulb type lamps
  • ISD-100HF-V03 1000mm integrating sphere that opens/closes to operate center mounted 4π bulb type lamps
  • ISD-100HF-V04 1000mm integrating sphere for 2π spot lamps with 254mm measurement port and center mount of 4π bulb lamps
  • ISD-100HFTO-V02 1000mm integrating sphere for operation of the test lamp in three different orientations (upright, downward, horizontal) in the sphere center
The X4-DE electronic device contains the diode array spectrometer and the electronics for the integral detectors. It is supplied in a bench-top housing or in a 19” 3HE housing for rack mount use. The X4-BTS sensor is built in a compact 45mm diameter housing which contains up to four photodiode filter detectors behind a 11mm diameter diffuser window. The diode array is connected by a flexible light guide to the detector head which includes a manually operated shutter for dark signal compensation as well as an optical density filter for increased diode array dynamic range. A remote controlled shutter is available on option. The X4 light analyzer with X4-BTS sensor can be combined with optionally available accessories, e.g. integrating spheres, luminance and radiance lenses and goniometric measurement bench. The light analyzer device is supplied with Window 7 compatible software for operation, data read out and data storage. The X4 light analyzer is calibrated for photometric and radiometric sensitivity of the integral sensors and the absolute spectral sensitivity of the diode array spectrometer within the wavelength range from 315nm to 1050nm. Calibration is performed by Gigahertz-Optik’s calibration laboratory for light measurement quantities against calibration standards traceable to national and international metrology laboratories. Re-calibration is recommended every 12 months.
