UPB-150-ART
Integrating Sphere for Reflectance and
Transmittance Measurement

Integrating Spheres are commonly used in reflection and transmission measurements. The 150 mm diameter UPB-150-ART integrating sphere represents the most common diameter sphere found in these applications because this size offers the best compromise between light through-put and sphere functionality. Its multiport design characterizes it as an all purpose tool for reflectance and transmittance measurements. Each of the five 30mm diameter application ports offers a real knife-edge design to let as much as possible of diffuse reflected or transmitted light through the port into the sphere. Gigahertz-Optik’s unique two-post Slide & Fix mount system offers tool-less sample fixing and mounting of the accessories supplied:
  • Port Plugs designed to fit into the port to form a uniform sphere surface when port is closed
  • Port Reducers to reduce the 30mm port aperture
  • Sample Holders to fix test samples and calibration standards of different size and thickness onto the port
  • Light Traps to absorb light exiting the sphere
Different types of detector holders, in a similar design to the UMPF port frames of the UM series integrating spheres, are supplied for the detector port which is located at the top of the integrating sphere. The integrated detector holder baffle can be orientated to the different application ports by turning the detector holder. The sphere is barium sulfate coated covering the spectral range from 300 to 2400nm. Optional Gigahertz-Optik light detectors, light meters, light analyzers and calibration standards are available.
