ISD-100HFTO-V01 Integrating Sphere

Gigahertz-Optik offers a range of integrating spheres for total flux measurement of spot type (2π light distribution) and bulb type light sources (4π light distribution).

The 1000mm diameter integrating sphere model ISD-100HFTO-V01 is designed for luminous flux measurement of light sources mounted in three different operation orientations meaning socket up (hanging), socket down (standing) and socket horizontal (lying). The main reason for testing light sources in different orientation is to analyze the thermal influence on lamp efficiency. In today’s situation where high efficiency compact fluorescence lamps (CFL) and LED lamps are replacing incandescent lamps the thermal influence on integrated electronics remains a factor for lamp efficiency. The ISD-100HFTO-V01 integrating sphere offers a universal sample holder for use on three application ports located on the bottom, side and top of the sphere. Port plugs are supplied to close the ports when not in use. The sample holder is height adjustable for precise positioning of the device under test in the center of the sphere. The application ports can also be used for externally mounted lamps in 2π sphere configuration. For error compensation caused by the self-absorption effects of the test sample an auxiliary lamp is available. The quartz-halogen auxiliary lamp generates the proper flux level needed for the substitution correction. A baffle in front of the detector port blocks a 300mm diameter spherical space at the sphere center. Different types of detector holders are available. The barium sulfate coating covers the spectral range of 300 to 2400nm. Optional Gigahertz-Optik light detectors, light meters, light analyzers and calibrations are offered.
