ISS-30-SVA-V01 Integrating Sphere Source

The integrating sphere source model ISS-30-SVA-V01 is designed for re-calibration of illuminance meters. It features:

  • Uniform test sample illumination at reference plane
  • Wide dynamic illuminance control with variable aperture attenuator and lamp matrix
  • Standard illuminant A reference light source operating at 2856K
  • Compact size for stationary and mobile use

The ISS is built with a 30cm diameter barium sulfate ODP97 coated integrating sphere. The light output port is designed with a protruding front tube to provide quasi- parallel incident light at the reference plane. A universal detector holder mounts both the reference standard detector and different shape and size test detectors at the reference plane. An auxiliary tool supports precise positioning and fixturing of the test detector in the sample holder. An external LS-OK30 light source with LS-OK30-VA manually controlled variable aperture allows continuous light level adjustment . An internal LS-IS-1.5 lamp can be added for higher illuminance levels as required. Both lamps are set for 2856 K color temperature. The electronics consists of two LPS-100 lamp power supplies and X1-RM optometer for read-out of the photometric reference detector mounted on the integrating sphere.
Calibration of illuminance in lx at the reference plane and adjustment of the reference detector is performed by Gigahertz-Optik’s calibration laboratory for optical radiation measurement.
For re-calibration by the end user a reference lightmeter, e.g. VL-3701-2 illuminance detector with P-9710-1 optometer are optionally available.
