GB-GD-360 Two-axis Goniometer Drive

Gigahertz-Optik manufactures mechanical devices to be combined with its light measurement instrumentation for simplified securing and mounting of parts and/or for complete application set-ups in the field of light measurement (radiometry, photometry and colorimetry), optoelectronic component qualification and OPM Optical Properties of Materials testing.

Goniometer drives allow precise angular adjustment of a light sources, detectors, displays or objects for the measurement of:

• Light source luminous intensity spatial distribution
• Display luminance spatial distribution
• Detector field of View
• Reflector spatial reflection distribution

The GB-GD-360 is a 2-axis goniometer drive for all purpose use. Its two stepping motors with toothed belt drive enable complete remote control of the +/- 90° Phi axis drive and the +/- 180° Theta axis drive. RS232 and alternative RS485 interfaces are available. The goniometer design follows Gigahertz-Optik’s modular design concept offering the freedom for individual application solutions. Universal test sample holders and mounting plates are supplied enabling the user to fix his test sample onto the goniometer or assemble his test sample adapter. Adapters for use with the B2S-75 rail bench allow goniometer benches to be set-up with adjustable measurement distances between test sample and detector. The goniometer bench can be combined with other Gigahertz-Optik light meters, light detectors and light analyzers including software to form complete test systems.
