X1-RM Rack Mount Optometer
The X1-RM combines multifunction powerful electronic design in a rack-mountable housing for integration into 19 3HE rack insert modules. A unique feature of the X1-RM is its capability to operate multi-cell light detector heads with up to four photodiodes with all four signals displayed on its four line display with on/off backlighting. The X1-Rms ability to work with most of the Gigahertz-Optik light detector heads enables maximum flexibility in a wide range of radiometric, photometric and colorimetric measurement applications as well as to serve as the reference meter in integrating sphere set-ups used as light sources or OPM measurements. The X1-RM can also control Gigahertz-Optiks LPS family of lamp power supplies via its RS232 or RS485 interface in ISS integrating sphere source or lamp calibration standard systems. Manual operation of the X1-RM is simple. Once set-up all settings are stored and recalled on next power-up unless reprogrammed. Measurement values are displayed in absolute quantities for the particular detector(s) connected. The meter set-up is supported by an easy to use menu. The menu allows selection of the operating mode, the detector and measurement parameter. Beside the manual operation the X1-RM offers remote operation via its USB or RS232 interface (slave mode). The X1-RM firmware is stored in flash-memory allowing simple firmware update via the USB-Interface without loss of the calibration data. The device is powered by 6 - 20 VDC.Specifications (Data)

Operation Overview:
The X1-RM can be manually operated and set-up for measurement using the front panel keypads (3 keys) to access its menu for function selection.
The keys have multiple functions:
key 1: < menu > / < enter >
key 2: < ▲ > / < run > / < stop >
key 3: < ▼ > / < light >
Pressing < menu > key selects the main menu. There are further sub-menus. The up < ▲ > and down < ▼ > arrow keys are used to switch between the different menus. Selecting < escape > aborts menu selection without changing parameters. By pressing < enter > key the menu item displayed is selected. On selecting a setting, the X1-RM requests confirmation ("CHANGE DATA?") to change the parameter. Select < Yes > to confirm that you really want to change the setting.
