Microprocessor-based System Controller

Gigahertz-Optik manufactures electronic devices like lamp power supplies, stationary optometers and instrumentation that can be combined with other light measurement devices for complete application set-ups in the field of light measurement, optoelectronic component qualification and (OPM) optical properties of material testing. The modular concept of the 19” 3HE housings enables individual set-ups based on customers requirements. Electronic devices are installed into the BTS-19 series housings that are available in bench top or in rack mount style.

The SC-05 system controller is the central brain and master for all of Gigahertz-Optik higher complexity multiple component stand alone systems. For manual control it offers a color touch-screen display supported with function buttons. For remote control operation it offers three different Interfaces enabling its simple control by PC or higher ranking systems in production, process and quality control set-ups. A wide selection of firmware for device and functional control for several standard set-ups and operation routines is supplied.

The device offers several features for integration into modular application set-ups:

• Six RS232 and two RS485 interfaces on rear panel for device control
• I/O interface on rear panel with four general inputs and outputs
• Flash memory for firmware and data processing
• SD card reader on front panel for increased data storage capacity and data transfer
• USB Host interface on front panel for temporary device connection, e.g. service related instruments
• 3.5” TFT display with touch panel as user interface for manual control
• R232, USB and LAN interface for remote control operation
