Integrating Sphere Laser Power Detector

The ISD-10-Si-2 is built with a compact 100mm diameter integrating sphere with 15mm measurement port, barium sulfate coating and a silicon photodiode detector. Its large acceptance angle enables the measurement of laser and laser diodes with dispersed and/or large diameter beams and reduces the need for perpendicular alignment of the laser to the detector. Also the sphere method of measurement avoids the adverse effects of diffuse re-reflected radiation on the laser resonance chamber normally associated with planar detectors. The sphere with detector is calibrated for spectral radiant power sensitivity in W from 400 to 1100nm in 10nm wavelength steps at Gigahertz-Optik’s Calibration Laboratory for Optical Radiation Quantities. The calibration is traceable to international standards.
