LDM-9811+PD-16-RTHA Retina Thermal A Detector

LDM-9811 is a modularly designed viewing module that is combined with a selection of PD-16 detectors to form a light hazard radiance measurement detector with focusable optics. The viewing module is built with stable aluminum housings to ensure precise measurement in laboratory or field use. The unit’s wide aperture focusing objective is achromatically corrected and satisfies the tightest requirements for the suppression of stray light and image formation. The selectable fields of view are 1.7, 11 and 100 mrad as specified for Blue Light Hazard measurements. A selector knob is located on the rear of the device. The resultant size measurement spot on the test sample is visible through the ocular viewfinder. In combination with the cross-hair targeting aid alignment of the LDM-98 to the zone of interest is simple. Focusing is achieved by adjusting the sharpness of the image on the viewfinder screen. The useable measurement distance of the LDM-98 spans from 0.3m to infinity. The area of the measured surface depends on the distance to the target and on the angle chosen for the field of view. Three detectors with different spectral response functions based on ACGIH/ICNIRP spectral effectiveness functions can be combined with the LDM-9811 module for light hazard protection radiance measurements:

PD-16BLH: Blue light hazard detector (400-520 nm)
PD-16RTH: Retinal thermal hazard detector (520-1100 nm)
PD-16RTHA: Retinal thermal hazard IR-A detector (780-1400 nm)

The detectors are supplied with a 2m long coaxial cable with selectable –1, -2 or -4 type connector for use with Gigahertz-Optik’s range of optometers. Calibration of radiance in W/(m²*sr) is performed at Gigahertz-Optik’s Calibration Laboratory for Optical Radiation Quantities.
