Photometric Illuminance Detector
The main application of the VL-1101 detector is to be combined with integrating spheres for luminous flux measurement applications. Also with its fine CIE and DIN V(λ) matching spectral responsivity the detector head is mounted into a UMPA-0.5/11 port adapter with UMPA-0.5/11-RD diffuser window and calibrated in absolute illuminance responsivity to measure the illuminance level on integrating sphere surfaces in lux. Note that the integrating sphere must first be set-up with a UMPF-0.5 port frame to mount the detector/adapter/diffuser assembly for measurement. The detector is supplied with a 2m long coaxial cable with selectable –1, -2 or -4 type connector for use with Gigahertz-Optik’s range of optometers. Calibration of illuminance in lux or fc is performed at Gigahertz-Optik’s Calibration Laboratory for Optical Radiation Quantities.
