X11 Optometer
XD-9502-4 UV-A Irradiance and White Light Contrast Detector

The X11 (Xone one) with XD-9502-4 UVA/Lux detector is a compact lightweight radiometer for the evaluation of the UV-A irradiance and the UV-A to white light contrast. This type of measurement is specified in mil-stds and industry in NDT Non Destructive Testing, specifically LPT Liquid Penetrant Testing of materials. UV-A irradiance levels necessary for fluorescence stimulation of material defects and the ratio of the UVA-irradiance to the maximally allowed environmental light (white light) is quantified. The XD-9502-4 two-cell UVA/Lux detector uses two filtered photodiodes one for UV-A irradiance and one for photometric illuminance. Both sensors have UV hardened diffuser windows for cosine corrected field of view. The detectors are calibrated by Gigahertz-Optik’s calibration laboratory for optical radiation measurement units. The X11 optometer is a compact ergonomically designed meter employing the latest technology and features. One key feature is the multi-channel measurement capability needed for the dual-sensor XD-9502-4 detector. The X11 meter itself is a handheld battery operated meter with backlit LCD display for easy viewing. Its high linear current to voltage amplifier provides seven manually or automatically selected gain ranges. The maximum error within this wide dynamic range is 0.2 %. Operating the X11 is simple. Once set-up all settings are stored and recalled on next power-up unless re-programmed. The meter is operated by two AA batteries or alternatively powered by PC when connected through its USB interface. Meter and both detectors fit into the BHO-11.hard-shell case.
