The P-9801 Optometer is one of the most powerful multi-channel light measurement instruments available. Useable with up to eight light detector heads the P-9801 features:

• simultaneous measurement of all eight detector channels

• fast multi-channel data-logging
• manual and remote control operation
• powerful 16 bit microprocessor with large memory
• external trigger input with pre-trigger function

In combination with up to eight VL-3701-1 illuminance detectors the P-9801 becomes a power multi-channel Lux meter for fast simultaneous measurements at multiple locations. One application example is on a production line control where the device(s) under test cannot be stopped to take measurements. Here a multiplexing type multichannel meter will not be suitable. Another application is the measurement of road illumination conditions where meter and detector must be mounted on a moving vehicle. All detector photometric sensitivity calibrations include the relative spectral sensitivity for uncertainty check and correction for measurements of monochromatic, line spectra or LED light sources.
