Baffles play a very important role in integrating sphere design since direct irradiation of detectors, port to port viewing and direct sample irradiation will negate the multiple reflection principle of the integrating sphere. A wide selection of barium sulfate coated baffles is available for use with the modular UMBB and UMSB series integrating spheres varying in design and size:

• UMPB-SM: Baffle plate mounted to sphere wall. For use between two ports
• UMPB-PM: Baffle plate mounted on post. For use between the sphere center and a port
• UMPB-TD: Combination of SM and PM versions
• UMPB-IL: Baffle plate mounted between the two hemispheres
