GB-GD360 with Illuminance Detectors for Luminous Intensity Spatial Distribution Measurements

Illuminance detectors such as Gigahertz-Optik’s VL-37 and PD-9310 series can be used to measure luminous intensity of traditional and solid state (SSL) light sources. Here the measured illuminance is converted into the relevant luminous intensity value through calculation using the square of the distance between the light source and the detector. Combined with the GB-GD-360 goniometer bench these detectors can also be used to measure the luminous intensity spatial distribution of hemispherical emitting light sources. Goniometer and light meter are remote controlled in symmetrical or individual set-up of the measurement sequence using the software supplied by Gigahertz-Optik. Measurement data includes the spatial luminous intensity and data transfer into IES and EULUMDAT format. Also effective luminous flux is calculated from the accumulated luminous intensity distribution data as well.
