P-9710-1 Optometer
LP-9901-2 Laser Power and Power Density Detector
The highly efficient single-channel P-9710-1 optometer in combination with the LP-9901-2 detector forms a universal laser power and laser power density measurement instrument. The LP-9901-2 offers a low profile 8mm height housing with 7mm diameter measurement area for laser power up to 100mW from 400 to 1100nm. The 7mm diameter aperture assists in the measurement of laser power density and laser stray light for laser hazard measurements. The detector cable cover serves as a handle for safe insertion into laser beam or irradiated area. Its compact size and high-level technical and functional features characterize the P-9710-1 as both laboratory grade instrument and field service meter. A unique feature of the P-9710-1 is its detector head calibration data connector which stores all data pertaining to a light detector head including model and serial number and calibration data. When plugged into the meter, this data is automatically transmitted and the light meter is ready to go. This ability to use the P-9710-1 optometer with an unlimited range of light detectors in combination with more than sixteen functional measurement modes enables the user to specify light sources in different ways. The P-9710’s wide signal range of 0.1pA to 2mA with eight manually or automatically selected gain ranges covers the dynamic range of most current semiconductor photodiodes used in light detector heads. The maximum error within this wide dynamic range is 0.2 % through traceable calibrations of each range. The P-9710-1 offers a fast sample rate ADC combined with a adjustable integration time of up to 6 seconds formed by the average of multiple measurements with 100µs integration time. This averaging feature support fast data logger measurements used in peak-peak, short pulse energy measurements and others. A bi-directional RS232 serial interface allows external remote control. A PC software is optional offered. The meter is battery (rechargeable) or AC operated. Detector calibration includes its measured spectral radiant power and irradiance sensitivity from 400 to 1100nm in 10nm wavelength increments. Meter and detector can be stored and carried in the BHO-01 hard-shell case.
